Hightimes has announced that its signature competition is coming back to Oklahoma this May but this time Virtually.

This will be the first-ever competition open to the public "The High Times Cannabis Cup Oklahoma; People's Choice Edition" will look to award the best products from all over the state.

The competition is only open to the medical industry, which means that it must be grown and made in Oklahoma at an Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority Licensed Facility. This competition will also feature the largest pool of judges in Cannabis Cup history.

Due to the current coronavirus pandemic this year it has forced the competition to go virtual. Hightimes also announced shortly before that their inaugural Hemp Cup will also be going online. The event was scheduled to go take place in Austin, Texas, but was rescheduled via Facebook Live. The virtual Oklahoma cannabis cup is currently being planned and will have little human interaction but they are also encouraging maximum involvement throughout the state.

Drop off is currently scheduled to run May 11-12 in Tulsa followed by Oklahoma City May 14-15. The judges will have 30 days from May 23 - June 24, with the virtual awards, show scheduled for June 27, 2020. The categories for the Oklahoma competition are: Indica Flower, Sativa Flower, Hybrid Flower, Pre-Rolls, Non-Solvent Concentrates, Solvent Concentrates, Vape Pens & Cartridges, Edibles: Food Items (Gummies, Chocolates), Edibles: Non-Food Items (Tinctures, Capsules) and Topicals.
